I said it wasn't legitimate because you stated originally that clicking on Desktop returns "C:\" and this simply isn't the case. However, that won't solve the problem. Greg and Doug have replied with other folders that do return only "C:\". I did a search in MSDN on this, but haven't come up with anything useful yet. Hopefully it is a solvable problem, and doesn't leave you hanging, but so far this appears to be the case. Otherwise you will have to roll your own Getdir() (maybe with Bela Bodecs treeview control), or limit the users choices.
