I'm having the same experience with Optiongroups. I do not expect the properties of the contained options to be bolded after dropping the optiongroup on the form.

However, it would be wise to write a tool that defaults these properties for all options contained in an optiongroup. Although you still need to edit all forms that contain the optiongroup involved (if you can remember them all!), this will speed up the time you need for applying the corrections.

I hope it is possible to find out how to "default" the properties of the objects in code?

That's just something VFP does automatically for any control you place on a form, though it really doesn't make sense for contained objects. But my advice in the last post will work still. Even though *you* didn't change the top/left props, you can still reset to default and have the option buttons use the values from the class!
