Russia, Ukraine, Poland and China, voted for the Russian skaters. Not unusual I would think. France did also. This does not seem unusual to me. Over the years France has done many things to embrace and support the USSR and communism. This is just a reflection of past policies and attitudes. You could call it “taste”. In this case “taste” relates to what countries are involved in competition.

For many years I have wondered why France and Russia use the SECAM television standard while the rest of Europe uses PAL. We use NTSC and I always thought there was more than a little politics in such decisions! Perhaps we could call it "Attitude"!

Be different - be your own man - argue with reality. Be a judge!

>Reminds me of the Seoul Korea Summer Olympics where an American boxer clearly defeated a Korean boxer but the judges threw the fight to the Korean. Many years later investigations turned up the evidence that the judges fixed the results.

>I have been thoroughly disgusted for a long time with how anything to do with how ice skating is judged with it ordinals and other arbitrary garbage judging. Until these governing bodies implement a judges challenge of other judges scoring before posting the scores, the the sport will always be wide open for corruption. And any judge who violates the oath they took at the beginning of the Olympics should be banned from judging ever again any where.

>>They skated for gold. The crowd gave them gold. It was a perfect run for 4 minutes and 30 seconds. They knew that had it.
>>
>>...technically, they should had it.
>>
>>As commented on national TV, it's probably the worst decision ever made on figure skating. I never seen such a ridiculous decision.
>>
>>People are crying here and there across the country. The national TV will continue to talk about it for weeks. To us, they are the champions. They're just no question about it. Especially when the pair who won the gold made 3 mistakes in their run compare to a perfect run by the Canadian team who ended up with the silver in result of this unbelievable decision.
>>
>>To us, Sale and Pelletier are true champions. Congratulations!
