Maybe I wasn't clear or maybe I'm not understanding you *s*

Your periodic app should send out an error notice email when it detects the problem. That's likely to be more attended to by someone. Especially in the case where there is no one sitting at that machine at the times when the data file errors occur.

>Yes, I know... but the reason is that the message is not generated by EMail.. the data is coming in via secure data link... picked up from a CSV... and then parsed... 'So the hey I'm done! But..' message needs to come up on error... regardless of current user application... :-)
