Does anyone know whether Oracle database (latest and greatest) have the same capabilities as Phdbase give VFP for full text searches. We are talking speed of searches as well as flexibility of doing scope restrictions (phdbase allows THEN command or NEAR command).

I am not familiar with oracle, but the powers-that-be seem to be gravitating toward it and they want to know what we may lose if we move to Oracle when our VFP Exe's are converted to all web applications.
