Client has full version. Bought initally when VFP6.0 first came out and had no patches installed on it. It has worked fine until I wrote another application for him and the application keeps freezing up his machine. The new program ran fine on my development machine using either VFP6 or VFP7 both with the latest service packs.

At first I thought it might be corrupted data but now think I encountered one of the bugs that was fixed by one of the service packs as I took their actual data and ran it on my development machine.

The problem is that I use a double click event on a column in a grid to drill down to edit the underlying record. After doing that several time the computer freezes and gives a WMCPD(01)+00000620error OD:0028:C005835C error. I can create the error every time by following the same steps, yet I have never encounted that type of error while developing and I have used the double click event in a grid quite frequently.

I did notice the VF6SP5 update file that I was trying to use is not the same file size as the current one on Microsoft's VFP web site. The SP5 I was using was downloaded and burned on a disk when it first came out and I needed to update a number of clients when it first came out.

I just downloaded the newest SP% patch and will try to install it today.

This is one of those deals where a simple problem ends up killing your budget for the job. So far I installed additional memory for them, reinstalled the Windows ME and Windows Office Suite as the program uses a lot of Office Automation. Now I am finding out that the Young Fox bite me.

Sorry for rant. Thanks for the reply.

>>VFP 6.0 is loaded on the clients machine. I tried to apply VFPSP5 and it doesn't recognize the VFP6.0 installation. I downloaded VFPsp5 service patch, but it would load saying it couldn't find a Visual Studios product.

>>>No, you don't need to load previous service packs. Each SP is cumulative.
