Hi!
Just create view in view designer. Then run GenDBC.PRG tool for that database. Find in the generated PRG file for re-creating database the code that re-create your view... programmatically!
All is there. A few commands and functions are used here:
CREATE SQL VIEW
CREATE CONNECTION (for remote views)
DBSetProp()
HTH.
>Is there a download, article, or chapter somewhere that will show a sample of stepping through the programmatic process of 1) Creating a remote view, and then setting ALL the properties to allow SELECTED columns to be updated?

>I have gone through several of my tomes and MSDN on the web but nothing specific to "coding" the thing.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
