That does not solve the problem. The "only fair way.. and well deserved. "? Wow! Fair for whom and deserved by whom?

1. The Russians deserve to keep the Gold Medals.
2. The Canadians deserve to be given Gold Medals.
3. The Judges and Olympic Officials deserve to not be honest and resolve this issue through confronting the original issue. Result fixing!

Seems like the judges and IOC made out on this. They do not have to do anything in public and “satisfy the masses” by issuing Gold Medals to the 2nd place team.

It just diminishes the value of the Medal. Fess up IOC! Be honest! Why are they giving two sets of Gold Medals for one event? Was there a problem? So this is the solution! Mamby pamby B.S.! Do not face the issue at hand – just give out another set of medals.
