>>>I was trying to add a comment to the one of the task but kept getting message box "The description field should be at least 250 characters". I don't think that should be such requriment for the comments. Actualy I think that this requrement is useless in other parts of UT also. To fulfill it people just repeat the same text multiple times or just add extra spaces at the end.

>>Please, readjust your comment with additional useful information to back up the point. In this case, it may well be as is but at 95%, members are adding items here and there without providing valuable information. So, we have to force this. For example, a lot of users were adding wish items in Toledo with only 2 or 3 words. Of course, when being sent to MS, it wouldn't have been processed. So, we have to apply those validations.

>My point is that there's no relation between the size of description and amount of useful information in it. I bet, you cannot explain why 250 character description is better than 240 or 145. More words doesn't mean more information.

Yes, as has been proven by those who just replicate words to fill the requirement.
Maybe some explanation would help people to understand the requirement and comply?
I know that I read far too many entries that have so few words that the intention is as clear as thick black mud. Sadly, I don't possess the mind-reading capabilities that those writers seem to think their readers have.
I'm betting that lots of good ideas and suggestions fall by the wayside because of this.

I don't know how to fix the problem but it seems to me that some attempt is better than none. Maybe it should be raised as a topic for discussion.
