I think vfp DBCS version will be needed to store and display japanish charater in your apps. In asia, most of conturies has a double byte charater system. And you'd better use japanish window for you apps because you can use both languages japanish and english.

Anyway, in Korea and China many programmer use and know about vfp but in Japan, nobody know about foxpro.
