I have a co-worker who is having difficulty with SQL Server 7. With the numeric or decimal data types you can specify your scale and that sets the maximum digits. If you enter the value 5.30 into a row it is stored as 5.3. That makes sense form the database point of view. However, she wants it to actually store as 5.30. Is there a way to do this without having to use currency or text (nvarchar, char, etc.)? She doesn't want to have to alter her reports just to have everything line up in a nice format every time. I suggested building a view on the table but is there a way around this?
