>>Ok, well I knew where that was, but since it doesn't seem to do what I want, I thought maybe you were talking about a different calendar. What I want is to see all the messages in the VFP forum within a date range that I specify. The calendar just seems to allow me to view messages for one day and I could already do that with the combobox. And this is not a search issue. I don't want to do a search each time in order to see this. I just want to apply a simple date range filter to the messages. Is this possible?

I could have entered text, but I had no idea what the subject was for the posting I was looking for. Regardless, it still seems that when searching from postings from a particular person, search text should be optional.

On this I have to disagree. The calendar pre-supposes that you know the day in question.
This idea that certain searches could produce long lists and so are disallowed has got to go! A long search result is hardly useful, I agree, BUT a person will learn that for themselves very quickly and refine their search accordingly.
To make the assumption that ALL searches of a certain kind (like only From/To *without* any search string) will be too big is WRONG. Yes, it can happen sometimes, but most likely it will not. And so what if it does (see above).
