Yes, and the Tacoma 4 WD Off Road blew the socks off all 4 WD's including Jeep. I would love to have a Tundra V8 and get my wife an Avalon. The safety rating of the Tundra is outstanding and the competition failed things like crash tests. Yikes!

Ford, Chevy and Dodge trucks should look into safety besides marketing! At 45 mph in a crash you are dead in one of those puppies. The Tundra absorbed the shock and had minor damage compared to the other trucks. Perhaps the industry should wake up. Remember when all trucks cost less than a passenger car? Gee times change! That is what happens when you become "popular"! :)

In May we will produce a right hand drive version of the Vibe called the Voltz, for Japan. This is the first time an American company has been allowed to produce a car for Japan. This is not the same as "selling" a car in Japan. We have to meet Japanese quality standards which are high!

>>>mmmm.... Thanks for the tip! My wife and I are in the market for a new car, one that will last at least 10 -15 years, i.e., our 'last' car. Toyota has an outstanding reputation for quality. My son is driving a 10 year old Toyota and it has over 100,000 miles on it. All he's ever done on it is scheduled maintenance, gas, oil and tires. His next car will be a Toyota too.
>>>There is always room for quality, especially when it has a LOW TCO! ;-)

>>My brother has a 1985 Tacoma truck with 300,000+ miles - original engine. He keeps it tuned up, changes the oil and got new shocks a while back. He loves his truck an he hauls around some heavy tools and equipment all the time with a cab on the back. Check out the Camry, Avalon and Lexus. Toyota has 6 of the top 16 quality rated cars sold in this country. There must be a reason! :)
