>Ok, now I see your point! I have made some search in some XML newgroups and I have found information (although not official but comming from MS MSXML team members) stating that the "nodeTypedValue" property doesn't work in MSXML 4.0 RTM for XSD Schemas. It always returns string representations of the elements and not the proper data types. So, the question is: is this a issue from VFP 7.0 and ADO.NET DataSets or one from MSXML 4.0 parser itself?
That I don't know - but I would say that this point is moot at the moment. If it doesn't work with MSXML 3 for that matter it's not really supported because that's your client base. MSXML 4.0 will take a while to get adapted too because of the way that some things work (XPATH in particular) will cause problems with many XPATH queries (selectSingleNode etc...)
I'm pretty sure that the implementation is valid XSD though... but without explicit parser support for the values it's not really anything useful.
