Hi!
Try sys(1104) in addition to what Jim proposed (SET REFRESH). This function does a lot. For example, using it I managed to refresh data in the alias more quickly than 1 second that is a maximum for SET REFRESH. In addition, as fara s I know, complete locking of the file flashes all data, so try also FLOCK()/UNLOCK.
