Hi!
SYS(1104) is available from VFP5. It just was not documented. It clears all internal buffers and cache, for all existing tables buffers are cleared too and re-read again, as far as I know.

>>Try sys(1104) in addition to what Jim proposed (SET REFRESH). This function does a lot. For example, using it I managed to refresh data in the alias more quickly than 1 second that is a maximum for SET REFRESH. In addition, as fara s I know, complete locking of the file flashes all data, so try also FLOCK()/UNLOCK.

>>>Yeah, I've just ran more tests, I shortened the timer to 1 second and it took 3 hits on the timer before it updated correctly.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
