According to the documentation, the datasource has to be an sql statement entered directly in the control property rowsource, as the base code is parcing the sql statement - unless I am misunderstanding what I am seeing. I had the thought that the regular dataenvironment object could use createindex method and build the tag even though the view is not part of the dataenvironment, except that the business object will instantiate before the control / sql statement creates the cursor - so that won't work either. I have seen a method called createdelayedindex or something to that effect. What situation is served in the framework would that this method should be used, and could that be a solution? In summary, I'll configure the control's data anyway that is recommended.
