Gary,

>The init routine parses the alias and the field. I am using a qualifed table as in glpkg!Chart_of_accounts, which the init routine pickes up as the alias. Later in the routine, it calls istag which ends up calling tag(lnTagNum, lcAlias) and an error is created, because TAG() doesn't want the quailified database name. This appears to be a deficiency (bug) in the code. I also learned that the tag name it is looking for is a tag on the base table itself - so I don't need to create an index on the cursor after all. Can this control be make workable easily? What is your advice.

Honestly, I've left this control in the Framework for backward compatibility with old Codebook applications (I don't use it myself). Since the control has you specify a select statement for VFP data, it's not very scalable. I intend to revisit this control one day, but haven't had the chance yet!
