I have fooled around with this also. If you set the DISABLEDFORECOLOR to 0,0,0 (black) it dosent do anything. If you set it to 1,1,1 it works. Of course this isn't true black but its very close. Also this only works if the controls SPECIALEFFECT is 3D, if its set to plain, (0,0,0) or (1,1,1) do not work.
>I have a bunch of checkboxes. The checkboxes are disabled, until user click on 'UPDATE' button. When the checkboxes are disabled (.ENABLED=.F.), the caption is grayed out / shadowed. Changing the .DISABLEDFORECOLOR to black makes it worst: it becomes dotted. I'd like the check box to be grayed out when disabled, but would like to keep the caption to be black for easy reading. Is there a way to do this without using a separate label control for the caption? (same thing happens with option buttons).
