Hi Andy,

I apologise for naming the wrong person! I had read this on an earlier thread and just added it to my message. However, I do like the analogy of the wool.

Whilst I don't blame MS for the lack of upgrade functionality in ISE/LEVFP7, I certainly think they should have been aware of the issue. Frankly, I was quite happy with my VFP5 and a solid base of users being updated with 'Setup'. However, I came across the post-install exe 'Setup' bug (hangs the computer) when some of my users went to XP. Hence my move to VFP7.

Actually, I quite like ISE/LEVFP7 and will look closely at the suggestion from Allan Finkel (message #608532) on how to hack the MSI database.

Now, we all have to wait with baited breath for a simplier solution from MS.

Regards...Rex
