machines. This is used by child care centers and third party administrators .File cabinets can be created dynamically. Each file cabinet may consist of drawerslike center, family, staff ,Inquiries, Schools etc.The contents of a file cabinet are decided at Run Time using sophisticated Wizards. Drawers will have tables associated with them which too is decided at run- time.Screens tobe used in the system too is designed by the user at run-time .This system makes use of sophisticated wizards whichare user-friendly to design a file cabinet, Drawer and screens at run-time.

B.Tech Project: Shop Floor Planning
Duration: 12 Months.
Description: Software to aid Supervisor of M/c shop at Instrumentation
India Ltd. Palakad (ISO 9000 Company ) in Routing and Loading of Machines efficiently .
Platform: Oracle 6.0 (Unix).

Features:

1) Fully object oriented design and analysis. The spiral method of design
was adopted. That is little design and then proto-typing and then little
design and then proto-typing and so on followed analysis.
2) Tables were created by the end user at run-time using wizards . In case
of Reports third party tool Fox-fire report writer was used.
3) Use of OLE server Technology for facilitating distribution of modules
of products as DLL's .
4) Use of customized Grid class(by subclassing headers). This class Performs
run-time sorting and run-time validation. Using speed optimizing tricks
to decrease form load time and SQL execution time. In case of forms using
a number of Tab-pages the tab- page contents were put in a container and
invoked on Demand Basis.
5) Enrollment forms were designed and generated by the End -User at runtime .
A Program which uses the know-how of Communicating between Form and
Report Formats was written.
6) Use of Base classes for Encapsulating Visual FoxPro controls and other
common functionaries ( Visual and Non-Visual ) involved in the project.
By encapsulating a control like Label we can change the font and other
properties after the project is over as preferred by the user. By
encapsulating Non-Visual Functionality's like Table by using a
class called CtlTable with member functions Insert, Open, close, Delete,
Next, Prev, Last, First . Changes to the base-class can be made at any
time without the need to go through each and every place where tables are
being manipulated in the programs of the project. So, applying oops
principles minimizes the Development time and Maximizes the life of a
product by making it maintainable, reusable.
