>I heard before that Rushmore was suppose to be in Access or in an upcoming version? Is this effective or it's only for an upcoming version? I was wondering, because all the developers I know faced the limit of 30,000 records. After that, Access starts slowing down. In our recent article, no mention was done concerning the builtin feature of Rushmore in Access. Comments?

Access has had Rushmore since Version 2.0. This was mentioned in the review article in a past issue of Databased Advisor. I believe that because Access used variable length records as opposed to fixed-length is one of the reasons this 30,000 record limit is in place. IMHO, this makes Access use a few more resources to determine the actual length of each record which FoxPro doesn't have to worry about. From what I read in this article previous releases of Access were even worse when it came to query speed.
