Sounds like your Edit menu has gone. I've seen something similar when I compiled a VFP 6 application unchanged in VFP 7. Suddenly the Edit menu had been replaced when the first custom menu was displayed. Opening the menu in the designer and saving it fixed the issue in VFP 7, but then the menu in VFP 6 went away. I was never able to reproduce this with a simple application, only in a quite big application.
