Is there a way to get them included in a select or do I just have to seek() records in this state ?

One trick you can use is to TABLEUPDATE() the tables inside of a TRANSACTION, do the SQL SELECT, and issue a ROLLBACK.

The only problem is that all of the changed records are locked while you have the transaction open.
