Problem: When I select an item from the combo it does not appear in grids right away. I have to move a focus to another column to get the selected item shown. Exactly same combo put on the same form works fine.

This is a known problem with combos in grids that are bound to integer values. Just change your RowSourceType to anything other than 2-Alias or 6-Fields and the problem will go away.
