Hi Jon,

I'm not sure if this applies to your situation but maybe it will give you some ideas.

We use VSS (since it comes with VS) and whenever we changed projects we had trouble with it since the VSS file srcsafe.ini changes location due to the project files being in a different parent directory. We had to do another join to the other project's source control database to get it right.

We figured that this information must be stored somewhere and we found it in the Windows registry.

We now use a .REG file that we run first to setup the project before we run VFP. Since we also included the VFP registry entries that we found, it also setsup all paths etc. that we need for the particular project.

HTH,
Arriyel

The reason for this is because our source code is now stored at on the corporate LAN which we get to through a slow frame relay - the "get files" portion of the join would be truly painful.
