I believe an EXPERT LEVEL .NET Developer (and this is an important distinction) will be able to command at least $100/hour on average.

The fatal flaw in this C# vs VB .NET argument is that under the covers, both have to work with the same framework. People who GET the point will recognize that being a .NET DEVELOPER is where it's at. I laugh at the fools who would from the start, pigeon hole/bill themselves as C# or VB .NET Developers. If there is a 1 month stretch where a guy who bills himself as a C# guy needs work and all there happens to be is VB .NET work, are you going to tell me he is going to pass it up? Something tells that the choice between making money and not making money is clear...< bg >...

I love these people who stand up and pound their chest that "I am a C# developer, my language was specifically designed for VS .NET and I am better than you". Translated, they might as well be saying "Thank God I am no longer dependant on VFP!!!"

I guess some folks have had sand kicked in their face so long that they feel it is time to do some kicking themselves.

It is truly juvinile thinking and quite frankly, not backed up with one iota of material techncial merit. At least, I have asked some to stand and defend - and as usual - POOF - they are no where to be found.... Of course, if they cannot defend here, one has to wonder just how good they would be in front of a class?????

The critics I am sure will weigh in at the proper time...
