>I am sure that anyone who had infinite knowledge would be institutionalized or killed by the masses.

Very true, but a couple of points:

1. I'm not talking about knowledge. I'm talking about intelligence.

2. I'm not suggesting that one person needs to encompass infinite intelligence alone on their on. I'm also not suggesting that humans alone need to achieve a state of infinite intelligense. That is not to say that the supernatural can aid humans, I'm just considering the possibility of extraterrestial life (IOW, space aliens) sharing the same intelligence that humans possess. Not knowledge mind you.

Noone can "posses" infinite intelligence, but intelligence on its own is infinite. Consider it a line. Better yet, consider it a fence with the same charateristics of a line, it goes on for infinity. Every individual gets to paint some part of that fence. Wether your paint in one solid piece or broken up in many different parts of the fence doesn't matter.

Because the fence is inifintly long, it will never be able to be completely painted by one person, that is true, but as the fence keeps going to infinity, new areas of that line will be covered, infintily. There will be an infinite amount of paint on that wall even if parts of the wall are left eternally uncovered.

My point is, out of every thought controlling or behavior modifying rule that revelaed religion places on people, the thought there is no hope in or a limit to intelligence is the most desepisable.
