Let's break it down. I'm really not trying to give you the 5th degree here *grin*; these are just some places we need to look:

Is your main form modal or modeless?

Are the child forms modal or modeless?

Please post the code you use to run a child form (when a command button is clicked)

What does the user do to exit the application? The "X" in the upper right hand corner? Or is there a "Exit Application" button somewhere?

In your main program, do you have an "ON SHUTDOWN" statement? If so, what is it?
