The bottom line is that it is a discussion forum where people can express opinions. Like all opinions (including mine) - a person needs to take them and supplement them with his/her own judgment.

I don't care where the opinion comes from. That person may be familar with the general facts of my scenario. Ultimately, it is I who knows my situation best and it is I who must make the decision and act accordingly.

This place like others, you have folks that blindly follow the advice of "gurus". I have always warned and advised against this sort of thing. The irony is that as you go up the scale of "gurudom" (getting to that ivory tower) - the less real-world stuff you see.
