Brian,
Thanks for the reply. Actually I used the menu designer, always have. This time it did not remove from the code all references to the menus that I deleted. I just overwrote the project in order to get back to work. But it's good to learn more of the inner workings.

>Anytime you compile the project, all menu files get "regenerated" by a FoxPro program called "GenMenu". You are never supposed to edit an .mpr file manually because it will just get overwritten the next time you compile. To correct the menu, you will have to edit the menu its self by using "Modify Menu ". Then remove the pad(s) you need to remove, save it, and recompile. That should take care of your problem.

>>Hi,
>>I was cleaning up a project and decided to get rid of the tools, program, and favorites menus. Now I have an error referencing the favorites menu. I can comment out the code in the *.mpr, but when I compile the comments are removed. I looked in the include files for the *.mpr and tried to comment out anything that might be generating the code in the menu prg, but it is still happening. Thoughts, suggestions?
