Well... Sometimes, when clipboard is stuffed with a large amount of data(.selection.copy), Word stops responding when .quit(0) is performed. Word97 hangs with a GPF and Word2000 remains busy.
The way I've found to solve this is sent tinny data to clipboard using .selection.copy. This is related to win98, I don't know if this behavior can be reproduced using another OS.
Oh, yes... Word was instantiated by createobject("word.application") function, not ole(bound)control.
