Along with the others, my advice is use a commercial framework. I use VisualMaxframe 2002. It has support for Data Services, Business Objects and Business Rules so you can easily create a front end to MySQL. See visualmaxframe.com. You may get other recommendations but for sure, don't try to do it yourself from scratch. Today’s frameworks are mature, stable and full featured. They will absolutely make you look like a hero.


>I just wanted to announce – that after much debate (some of it heated) the company that I do most of my work for (a very large Real estate/development firm in South Florida) has decided to use FoxPro to re-write all of the internal applications. Currently, we have about 5 different systems doing 5 different things – everything from updating the MLS, to tracking agent commissions.
