Hello everyone,

I have a small VFP7.0 program that reads text files from one directory and then merges them into one text file in another directory. The program uses timer event to launch the merging.

I've tried to install this program as Windows service (I have Windows 2000 Professional). I've used InstSrv and SrvAny utilities. I am able to install my program as service with these tools and I am able to see both srvany and my program in the Task Manager. Also they can be found in Services Console.

The problem is that the program does nothing when running it as service. But when I execute it normally, it works ok. I don't use any visual components, I think. Is there some commands which are not allowed?

What could be wrong? It's vital to my project that this small exe could be installed as service.

I'm thankful for any advice.
