Topic: Graphic quality

I have been viewing pcx and jpg files using several viewers with acceptable quality. I have taken these pictures and saved them as bmp's. Using these same viewers I have viewed the new converted bmp's and have kept the same quality. My next step is to use these bmp's in simple FPW 2.6 screens. In doing this, I run into three basic problems.

Problem 1. When bringing in the picture and selecting one of these bmp's I get the error 'Picture to big, corrupt or wrong format' for some of the pictures.

Problem 2. When I can bring up one of these bmp's without any errors, the actual graphics image in far less than acceptable. Trying to explain it is difficult but it's like parts of the pictures become iridescent and glow. Not a lot, but enough to easily see the difference and make the quality unacceptable.

Problem 3. In screens where I have graphics, when I bring up the applications for the first time the graphics are crisp. If I shut the application down and bring it up again, sometimes the graphics are very spotty and quality is gone.

Any help with these problems would be appreciated.
