Coding, syntax & commands
Hi Elmer:
Thanks for your reply.
My situation was that the close option is not enabled when I attempted to close from the task bar.
So you are right, my form was modal. So I changed it to Modeless and added a Read Events at the beginning and a Clear Events at the end but now I can't get the form to close properly from the standard open format.
I should state that I don't use modeless forms and I am not familiar with where the Clear Events line should go.
I have the Clear Events at the end of the routine that closes the form (it checks to see if you have backed up your files and then closes). So I have the routine, then Clear Events then ThisForm.Release().
The problem is that the form just sits there. I have added Thisform.Hide() and it makes no difference?
Is there some other command required to close a form when it is Modeless?
