Hi Ravi,

My needs are relatively simple and Inno does exactly what I require. It is a 'scripting' program in that you create compiler directives which define what is required, such as which files to include and their source/destination folders. Initially, you can run a 'wizard' that sets up the basic script shell. I then went in using the excellent help and customised it for my own purposes. This included location of VFP DLL's etc, and desktop icon and start menu items.

This is my simple 'create' procedure.

1. Generate VFP exe into app_gold folder
2. Run the Inno compiler - takes about 10 seconds for a 20 meg application with files. It reads app_gold and puts the compiled output into app_output folder.
3. Burn the two files (setup.exe and autorun.ini) from app_output to CD-ROM.

Eureka! Distribution problem solved.

There are additional benefits for my previous clients where the app was created using VFP5 'setup' because 'setup' didn't provide an uninstall facility or add it to Control Panel - Add/Remove Porgrams'. Inno does; and does it for existing apps.

My biggest issue with ISE/VFP7LE was that it did not seamlessly upgrade existing apps. Inno does this.
