>I have a form set up with several buttons (like a menu) and all our forms are marked as 'modal'. When the user clicks a button it runs programs and/or forms. If an error occurs I have an error routine. The problem is on some errors I want to go back to the button that called it and let them pick another button or exit. I tried the "Return to" command, but how do you tell it to go back to a button (not a procedure). Also, if there are other forms that were called after the button was menu button was clicked, how do I release them?

Hi Tim,

These tasks are not as easy as they sound. I would recommend to you to look at the very detailed discussion about Error Handler at http://www.ideaxchg.com/ix07/er/_sys/toccontu.htm

Hope this helps.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
