The following code works in the VFP7 Command Window. I tried to 'port it to VBScript and it does not work. However, the APPEND command is supported by the OLEDB driver, according the MSDN.

oConn.Open
oConn.Execute("use benefittype in 0") 'benefittype is an existing table
oConn.Execute("append blank ")

Error message:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Visual FoxPro: One or more errors occurred during processing of command.
