Thanks Eric but I found that I had an unreleased form via Me.Hide that was causing it not to release the program. I had to check through a lot code to find this problem though.

Is there something in the debugger that tells me all open references (e.g. variables, forms, etc.) that's still referenced at any point in the program execution?

Until recently, when I exit the program after running from within VB it shut down and brough me back to VB but now I have to click "End" from VB.
