Here's another piece of info...my auditing tables show that ID value when record 13 was created was indeed 13 and that the ID value when record 7 was created was indeed 7 - This would seem to indicate that the problem occurred AFTER the records were inserted. However, if I'm correct in assuming that the index value is different from the table value, that piece of information is kind of inconclusive because I'm not sure which value (the index value or the table value) is used when reporting back to the auditting.
