>It sounds to me like there may be something wrong with the FPT file that is holding the general field's contents. Can you view the bmp's in a form with an oleboundcontrol? Someone else may be able to be of more help to you since I do not use general fields at all prefering to handle OLE documents as files on disk and not relegate them to a general field.

Thanks for your help. I think it's a better idea to grab them from
a disk, also. I'll check on the fpt file, too.
