Hi Bill,

I would hazard a guess that you have not closed Excel (closing the spreadsheet in the process), or not closed the spreadsheet. Excel is probably still active with your spreadsheet open, just not visible.

I ran into the same problem a while ago, try oExcel.Quit

>Whenever I save an Excel spreadsheet the I have opened and modified with VFP6, if I try to later delete or move, or in anyway access that spreadsheet (i.e. through Exlorer, etc.) I get error messages about a sharing violation. The spreadsheet does not appear to be read only, and the original sheet was not either. The command I am using to save the sheet is

>(where I have earlier defined xlWorkBookNormal as -4143 and cSaveToFile is the name of the file I want to save to).
