How do I get a BMP graphic (red telephone, 352KB in size) stored in a General field to appear in a listbox column? Currently I only see the word Gen in the column. If I don't store a graphic in the field I only see the word gen in the column.

If I use a grid instead of a listbox, why would the grid be easier to use to display the BMP graphic than the listbox?

I previewed the graphic that I built by setting the Picture property of my listbox to the path and filename of my graphic and the graphic looks to be sized correctly. 352KB size seems awfully large to me for such a small graphic? But maybe that is because I saved it as a 24-bit color image. I should probably resave it as 8-bit color or somewhere in between? The graphic looks to be about 1/4 inch square of a red telephone when previewed in the listbox. I also made an empty graphic with a white background to appear when the red telephone is not in the listbox column or General field on the table.

I also tried another approach where I created a cursor and attempted to insert the BMP graphic from a method in a form directly into the listbox column following the SAMPLES\PICLIST.SCX that was included with VFP. The example inserted a BMP graphic based upon a condition which is what I attempted to do.

Lot of questions here, but I am not finding much information on this problem in any VFP books. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
