So it should be safe to delete them? Should I be concerned about a loss in performance - my guess is that SQL Server will recreate the statistics on the indexes when/if required.

>The statistics were created by the optimizer unless you have manually created them with the CREATE STATISTICS. There is a really good possibility that the optimizer would eventually recreate them given enough time.
