>Cetin,
>Out of curiosity I just searched again and actually found quite a cool looking tool. Examine32 (http://www.examine32.com) seems to be powerful. I've installed an evaluation copy and the search options are impressive:
>
>1. It can search both text and binary files. File formats supported are text files with Windows, Macintosh or UNIX line endings, Microsoft Word files, Rich Text Format (RTF), HTML (web pages) and Write files. All other formats are treated as binary files. Examine32 can also search for text in files stored in ZIP archives. Any type of stored file can be searched with the file formats above being supported.

>2. The search can be started from any folder, with subfolders being optionally searched, or alternatively multiple drives can be searched either on the same machine or across networks. The files to be searched are selected using any combination of file specifications.

>>>Cetin,
>>>Glad it helped. I find it hard to believe that they did something stupid like this. I use ctrl-f all the time. IMHO, the find dialog in Windows2000 was already a step backwards compared to Win98. What I find most annoying is that ctrl-f uses the current window to display the search results. That alone is ok, but after a search there's no easy way to switch between the search result and the folder. You have to click < folders > and < back >. Finally when you do that, the search result is simply lost eventhough there's a node "Search Results"! I still find it hard after switching from Win98.
>>>
>>>I have been looking for a good 3rd party search tool for quite a while. I haven't found anything that I liked so far. Usually the problem is the lack of integration with windows explorer (right-click options). The same problem applies to VFP's filer. If anyone knows of a good search tool, I would be interested.
