Ah, but then that is exactly what MSFT does with their OS packages...they include a lightweight version of just about everything which almost puts the 3rd party vendors out of business. The only problem is that as your business grows, you eventually need a more robust version of the same tool and hopefully the 3rd party vendors are still in business to provide the tool...

Yes, that is 100% true and analogous to what TW was writing about. I guess my reply to TW was not entirely well thought out. I like a thriving third party market -- but I also like all the features that were added to the OS that damaged third party vendors. I guess the only conclusion is that it is a tough world!
