Check out www.dotcomsolution.com/dev and see how to use all the things already built into VFP that you can use for web apps. There are plenty of online resources on that page and other places, notably http://www.news2news.com/vfp/?group=92&=0 for calling FTP and HTTP functions from wininet.dll from within VFP.
I have 2 copies of Rick Strahl's 'Internet apps with VFP 6' but some of it is out of date, especially the part about VFP mtdlls with ASP..
