It is the users in Control Panel/ Users (or User Accounts in XP).
Say, you have a network user 'xyz', and a user 'abc' that is NOT set as a network user.
The first dialog lets you you pick user 'abc', and then you get the next dialog for logging into the network, where you enter 'xyz' and the network password for 'xyz'.
The WSH will return 'abc' as the username.

Using WNetGetUser, instead of WSH, in the above scenario returns 'xyz' which I think is the correct answer.
I wonder if having to specify a drive is always safe - i.e. you can map same thing to any drive letters on a ws. In our case we do have a drive letter that should be the same on all ws.
