That's what I tried to do in VFP7 some time ago. At the beginning I thought this was a great idea. Until I got to the same problems concerning toolbars. I then created methods like SetLeft(), SetTop(), etc. Instead of using the properties directly, my resizer users the according methods. The methods then check their nMinLeft, nMinHeight, ... properties and set the size of the control accordingly.

I didn't find any way of doing this with assign methods. The only way would be to have special controls for use in toolbars, but that way didn't seem like the better way to me.
